USAA International Conference

  • The U.S. Autism and Aspergers Association will hold its third annual conference in Austin, Texas. More than 30 of the world's leading Autism Spectrum Disorder experts will discuss new treatment regimes and effective therapies never before presented to the public. After four days, attendees will leave the conference armed with tools of practical protocols, valuable hoope and new resources for support for your child, grandchild, patient, friend, or student.
    Holly Robinson Peete, an actress, singer and author, and will give the keynote address. She and her husband Rodney, a former NFL quarterback, have successfully managed marriage challenges and the difficulties faced in raising their son Rodney Jr., who is affected by autism. She will offer her compelling testimony on the twin miracles of compassion and communication.

Family Fun Night

  • Family Fun Night - Bring the whole family out for a fall carnival and a whole lot of fun at Faith United Methodist Church, 7431 E. 91st Street between Sheridan and Memorial). This event is free to children with autism spectrum disordes and their families.

LAMP Training

  • The Prentke Romich Co. in Ohio will be sponsoring a Language Acquisition through Motor Planning seminar Oct. 28 at the University of Tulsa Allen Chapman Activity Center Great Hall.
    The LAMP training will promote AAC strategies for promoting the development of communication for individuals with autism spectum disorders.
    PRC's comprehensive LAMP training program ixs designed for speech languate pathologists who want to learn new AAC skills and strategies tha tcan enhance the lives of ASD individuals. The workshop examines the current research and history of augmenting speech for people with ASD.
